Is your child bilingual?

Would you like them to develop their confidence?

Would you like them to be more fluent?

And would you like them to LOVE coming to their "French playdate"?

At Les Petits Ateliers, we aim to make your children bicultural as well as bilingual. This means that we seek to equip them with the language of childhood, of imagination and fairy tales, childhood songs and playground games, "Carambar" jokes and other childhood staples they cannot get from living in the UK.

Our exclusive curriculum is put together by our director, Florence, who has taught foreign languages for 15 years and is a qualified teacher. Themes change every half-term to ensure progression, motivation and renewed interest.

Each Atelier starts with a small 'goûter' (an after-school snack, just a little more French!) provided by us. Activities will vary each week and will include singing, storytelling, puppetry, drama, arts and crafts, science experiments, exploration of the world around us, trips to local parks to study nature, to name but a few.

Your children will look forward to their weekly 'French playdate' with their new francophone friends and you, parents, will receive weekly summaries and suggestions to keep the conversation going at home.

What's more, your child will gain access to our 500+ books library when joining Les Petits Ateliers and will be able to borrow a new book every week, for free!

The same concept, for school-aged children. Each Atelier begins with a 'goûter'* ( so you don't need to worry about it) and time together, as a group, to discuss the previous week.

Each session features an activity centred around a half-termly theme (previous themes have included emotions, music, seasons, snails, tadpoles and frogs, customs and festivals...)

Children can expect lots of puppet shows, stories, crafts, songs, poems and children can expect lots of oral practice.

Several levels possible within one class with each individual student's needs catered for.

Les Moyens

(Year 2-4, ages 7-9)

Wednesday 3:45 - 5:15 pm, Elizabeth House, 2 Hurlock Street, London N5 1ED

Each Atelier begins with a 'goûter*' (so you don't need to worry about it) and time together, as a group, to discuss the previous week.

The next step - with a gentle initiation to reading and writing, through children-led and play-based activities.

Learning revolves around a half-termly theme, carefully chosen to excite and stimulate young minds.

Each Atelier will give the children plenty of opportunities for oral practice. They will also feature stories, crafts, songs, poems, role-playing, drama and science experiments, to name but a few of the incredibly exciting things our 'têtes blondes' have been up to so far.

Les Grands
