Is your child bilingual?

Would you like them to develop their confidence?

Would you like them to be more fluent?

And would you like them to LOVE joining us for their "French playdate"?

At Les Petits Ateliers, we aim to make your children bicultural as well as bilingual. This means that we seek to equip them with the language of childhood, of imagination and fairy tales, childhood songs and playground games, "Carambar" jokes and other childhood staples they cannot get from living in the UK.

Our exclusive curriculum is put together by our director, Florence, who has taught foreign languages for 15 years and is a qualified teacher, as well as a languages-nerd, multilingual and mama of three little bilinguals. Themes change regularly to ensure progression, motivation and renewed interest. Activities will vary each week and will include singing, storytelling, puppetry, drama, arts and crafts, science experiments, exploration of the world around us, to name but a few.

And of course, the teacher will always be accompanied by our famous sidekick: Loulou la Tortue, the funniest, silliest and cheekiest Tortue there is!

Your children will look forward to their weekly 'French playdate' with their new francophone friends!

Small groups - spaces limited.

The classes are currently held every Wednesday afternoon via Zoom.

Les Minis

(Preschool, ages 3-4 yo)

10:30 am GMT

Children are immersed in a world of creativity, singing, silliness, laughter, craft and play.
Each Petit Atelier regularly features songs, puppet shows, stories and craft activities as well as traditional French games.

Les Petits

(5-7 yo)

Thursdays 4pm GMT

Each session features an activity centred around a chosen theme (previous themes have included emotions, music, seasons, snails, tadpoles and frogs, customs and festivals...)

Children can expect lots of puppet shows, stories, crafts, songs, poems and lots of oral practice.

Les Moyens/Grands

(8-11 yo)

4.15 pm

A gentle initiation to more formal learning, including reading and writing, through child-led and play-based activities.

Learning revolves around different themes, carefully chosen to excite and stimulate young minds.

Each Atelier will give the children plenty of opportunities for oral practice. They will also feature stories, crafts, songs, poems, discussions, debates, joke-telling and (simple!) science experiments, to name but a few of the incredibly exciting things our 'têtes blondes' have been up to so far.

Les Grands

(Y4 - Y6)

4.15 pm

While our classes are online only, this group will be merged with Les Moyens.

Merci for your understanding!
